RESOURCES FUPRE PGD AND MASTER APPLICATION FORM FULL TIME AND PART TIME

Introduction

Centre for safety Education is the result of the collaboration between
the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun, (FUPRE) and the
institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON) as stated in the ISPON Act
2014 Section 3(h) stating that the Institute shall have power to affiliate with
any University or other tertiary Institutions for the purpose of offering
Higher Degree Programmes. The Centre presently offer Diploma, Postgraduate
Diploma (PGD) programmes and Certificate Courses in Health, Environmental, Safety and Security Training with a view to
providing highly industry-driven Safety Professionals for the Oil and Gas
Industry and other relevant disciplines

Aim/Objectives
The Centre aims to provide graduates with excellent broad-based training
required as experts in Health, Environmental, Safety and Security Management in
Petroleum, Power, Chemical, Transport and Allied Industries
Admission For 2015/2016 Session into FUPRE Diploma, Postgraduate
Diploma (Full Time and Part-Time) Programmes in Health, Environmental Safety
and Security (HESS) as well as short courses for Companies in Industrial
Safety, Health and Security Basic Water Survival, QA/QC, H2s, Self Contained
Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) & Gas Testing, contained space Entry, Advance Fire
Fighting, First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Environmental
Waste Management, Environmental Audit, 
Fondilt and Crane Operations, Safe Rigging & Lifting and Safe
handling of Chemical (SHOCYSOS, is currently going on.

A. ADMISSION INTO DIPLOMA
PROGRAMME

1. Admission Requirement
For admission into the Diploma programme, candidate must possess 5 credits
O level passes including English Language and Mathematics
2. Programme Duration
The programme duration for the diploma (full-time) programme is for 9
months
3. Structure of the programme
The programme is based on the semester system. The programme shall
involve field practical experience and individual project work, followed by the
submission of a Thesis for evaluation.
4. Award of Certificate
Successful Candidate shall be awarded a Diploma Certificate at the end
of the programme
5. Application
Application form can be filled online or downloaded from the University
website (www.fupre.edu.ng) filled and submitted at their office after the
payment of non-refundable application fee of Ten Thousand, five Hundred Naira
(N10,500) only made payable to CENTRE FOR SAFETY EDUCATION, FIRST BANK PLC
ACCOUNT NUMBER <check the school website for the account number>.

B. ADMISSION INTO FULL-TIME
POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA PROGRAMME

1. Admission Requirements
Candidate for the full time Postgraduate Diploma programme must be
holder of the following qualification: BA/B.Sc or HND in Safety from any recognized
Institution or Higher National Diploma (HND) with General HSE and HSE Level 3
Certificate in Safety.  Candidate without
HSE Certificate can also apply.
2. Programme Duration
The programme duration for the fulltime Postgraduate Diploma programme
is for a period of Twelve 12 months
3. Structure of the Programme
The programme is structured based on the semester system and shall
involve field practical experience and Individual project work, followed by the
submission of a Thesis for evaluation
4. Award of Certificate
Successful candidate shall be awarded Certificates at the end of the
programmes
5. Admission into Master Degree
Programme
At the end of the programme, successful candidates can use the
certificate to gain admission into Master’s Degree Programme.
6. Application
Application form can be filled online or downloaded from the University
website (www.fupre.edu.ng) filled and submitted at their office after the
payment of non-refundable application fee of Fifteen Thousand, Five Hundred
Naira (N15,500) only made payable to CENTRE FOR SAFETY EDUCATION, FIRST BANK
PLC ACCOUNT NUMBER <check the school website for the account number>.

C. ADMISSION INTO PART-TIME
POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA PROGRAMME

1. Admission Requirements
Candidate for the part-time Postgraduate Diploma programme must be
holder of the following qualification: BA/B.Sc or HND in Safety from any recognized
Institution or Higher National Diploma (HND) with General HSE and HSE Level 3
Certificate in Safety.  Candidate without
HSE Certificate can also apply.
2. Programme Duration
The programme duration for the Part-time Postgraduate Diploma programme
is for a period of Eighteen (18) months
3. Structure of the Programme
The programme is structured based on the semester system and shall
involve field practical experience and Individual project work, followed by the
submission of a Thesis for evaluation
4. Award of Certificate
Successful candidates shall be awarded Certificates at the end of the
programmes
5. Admission into Master Degree
Programme
Successful candidates at the end of the programme, can use the
certificate to gain admission into Master’s Degree Programme.
6. Application
