(A) THE
POSITION OF UNIVERSITY LIBRARIAN
The
University Librarian who is a Principal Officer, shall be in-charge of the
University Library. He shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the
operations of the University Library.

post of University Librarian, candidates must be innovative, versatile and
proactive with vision, good managerial ability, integrity and transparency in
private and public life and who should be able to provide the Management of the
University with appropriate advice and support for all of the institution’s
library transactions. The right candidate should have the ability to generate
ideas that would facilitate the development of the University’s Library.

must possess a good Honours Degree from a recognized University as well as a
Masters Degree in Library Science (MLS), with adequate Research Publications.

cognate experience in a public/private University, the last five years of which
must be at Management level.

Qualification and Experience:
Same as
that of the University Librarian but with at least Ten (10) years experience.
