DELTA State Government (DTSG) has said that the result of the recently conducted Junior Secondary School Certificate Examination (JSSCE) in the state would be released online.
The state Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Prof. Patrick Muoboghare disclosed this during the official commissioning of the new Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) state office complex in Asaba.

Muoboghare who represented the state governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan during the ceremony, said that the result of the 2014 JSSCE would be checked online this year.
“The result of the 2014 JSSCE in Delta State shall be checked online this year; so, no student who sat for the examination will go to any principal or vice principal to ask for result”, the Commissioner said.

According to him, the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education would conduct promotion examination for Senior Secondary School (SSS) II in some selected schools in the state using the Computer Based Test (CBT).
Since JAMB would be replacing Paper and Pencil Test (PPT) with the CBT with effect from next year, he said, we have to start preparing those who would be writing the JAMB examination by exposing them (those going to SSS III) to the CBT.

“We are extending an invitation to JAMB to be part of the monitoring team of our CBT promotion examination that would be taking place sometime in July, this year”, Muoboghare said, adding that the state government would provide more than one CBT centres in each local government area of the state for next year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by JAMB.
Continuing, the Commissioner disclosed that “beyond the public schools in the state, we have a minimum of seven private schools that have a minimum of 150 computers that are ready for the CBT examination”, pointing out that the state was fully ready for the CBT.
