The Honourable Minister of Education (HME) Mallam Adamu Adamu hereby
invites applications from qualified Nigerian students in Nigerian public
tertiary institutions to participate in the 2016/2017 selection interviews for scholarship
awards tenable in Nigerian tertiary institutions.

Application forms are available online at www.education.gov.ng and can be
completed and printed by prospective candidates for endorsement by their HOD
and Registrars of their institutions.

The eligibility criteria for
Nigerian Award are as follows:

• Applicants for Postgraduate studies should possess a minimum of first
degree with Second Class Honors
Upper Division. Applicants must be registered Full-Time students of Federal or
State Universities.

• All other applicants (UG, HND & NCE) must be registered Full-Time
students in their second year or
above in Federal or State University, Polytechnics, Monotechnics and Colleges
of Education. For ail
Undergraduate Scholarship applicants (Physically challenged inclusive) must be
in their second year or
above and have at least 4.0 Cumulative Grade Points Aggregate (CGPA) on a five
(5) point scale or its
equivalents.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

•             The scholarship is
tenable in Nigeria and takes effect from the beginning of the academic session.

•             It shall not be held
at the same time with another Award nor for part-time studies.

•             Change of course or
Institution is not allowed.

•             The Scholarship
award is to assist the scholar in the payment of:

•             Institutional
charges and fees and

•             For Personal
maintenance.

METHOD OF APPLICATION:

Application forms are completed online as follows:-

•             complete form online

•             submit and Print a
copy

•             attach Photocopy of
the following documents to the Printed Copy

•             Letter of admission
to the institution

•             Current Course
Registration form

•             Last session CGPA
result

•             Current school’s
Identity Card  

•             Letter of
identification from your State/Local Government

•             Two(2) passport size
photographs with your name written at the back and duly signed by you./

•             NOTE:-Printed Copy
s6oul| be endorsed (signed and stamped) by your HOD or Dean of Faculty of
your institution.                *             ;

•             Submit two sets of
the printed and endorsed forms at the venue of the interviews as scheduled
below.
Eligible candidates are advised to make only one entry as multiple entries will
be disqualified.

INTERVIEW DATES: Written
Scholarship interviews are held at the Federal Government Colleges in each State
Capital.

Southern Zone: (South East,
South South and South West) 27th Feb.-4th March 2017

Northern Zone: (North East; North
central & North West) 6th-HthMarch 2017
